President of BI is given a membership at SASA

The President of Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Dieter Klingemann, has been elected Corresponding Member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Section of Historical and Social Sciences). He was awarded the Membership Diploma in Ljubljana, 25 October 2018, by Dr. Tadej Bajd, President of the Slovenian Academy, in the presence of Klaus Riedel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Slovenia, and Prof. Dr. Slavko Splichal, the Laudator, Member of the Slovenian Academy. The same day Professor Klingemann delivered his inauguration lecture entitled “Political Support and the Persistence of Democratic Regimes”. In December 2001 Professor Klingemann had already been appointed Honorary Senator of Ljubljana University. His most recent membership in the Academy of Sciences and Arts underscores his close relations to Slovenian Social Sciences.
