Berlin International and Hosei University (Tokyo, Japan) signed a partnership agreement in 2017. Mr. Tamayo Kato, joined Berlin International as a guest researcher in order to complete his Master's thesis. He presented the findings from his extensive field trips in Germany and Europe in his farewell presentation entitled: "The sacred places of water in europe – legend, architecture and urban development". Tamayo Kato was supported academically during his stay by Prof. Masayo Ave. Functions and questions on their typology and distribution.
