Studying can present numerous challenges for students: It can cause worry, stress, and anxiety. These stressors can affect students' mental health. Especially during the global COVID-19 pandemic, students are faced with unexpected burdens that they may need help to successfully cope with.

Berlin International wants all students to feel fully supported at all times during their studies and beyond. At Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, we are aware of the challenges that studying abroad can bring: leaving home, making new friends, financial burdens, pressure from increased workloads. These are stressors that can put us in difficult moments.

As an educational institution, it is our responsibility to help our students cope with resistance and performance anxiety and to provide them with resources to manage stress.

For this reason, we offer students access to a Mental Health First Aid Officer who is happy to provide them with some tools, contacts and techniques, refer them to the appropriate professionals when needed, and help them find the best possible solutions.
