Recently, a delegation of 60 young leaders from Qatar visited Berlin International University of Applied Sciences. As part of the one-year Leadership Management Program organized by the Qatar Leadership Center, the delegation of young leaders spent their learning journey in Berlin.
After being welcomed by our President, Prof. Yüksel Pögün-Zander, PhD, the delegation of young leaders continued with a tour of our campus. After a refreshing break, the delegation embarked on the learning journey itself.
The learning journeys under the Qatar Leadership Center programs are aimed at learning about best practices in leading countries, stimulating ideas, and engaging in general discussion. At Berlin International, the group of aspiring leaders enjoyed an informative and in-depth lecture by our Vice President, Prof. Dr. Peter Mantel, on the impact of science and research on corporate and policy decision-making in Germany.
Following the lecture, the junior executives had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the topic.

Founded in 2010, Qatar Leadership Center is a national “management development” institute that seeks to develop leadership talent amongst Qatari professionals who work in executive positions in government institutions as well as public sector and private sector organizations.
