The annual congress of the Association of Private Universities (VPH) on the topic of "Opportunities of Digital Teaching" took place on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Berlin International.
During the congress, numerous speakers from higher education and industry exchanged views on the topic of "Opportunities of digital teaching".
After the welcome by Prof. Dr. Peter Thuy, Chairman of VPH, and Prof. Yüksel Pögün-Zander, PhD. president of Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, the speakers had the possibility to report on the topic. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to exchange views on the various contributions in an extensive question and answer session.
The annual congress was concluded with a joint lunch and networking.
The speakers came from such diverse fields and institutions as Microsoft Germany, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), Future Festival Stifterverband, Digital University of North Rhine-Westphalia, Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), and Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM).
The nationwide Association of Private Universities (VPH) serves as a body representing the interests of private universities in Germany. The association was founded in 2004 with 14 universities and has now represented a large number of private universities for more than 10 years. The association's office is located in Heidelberg. A high-ranking board of trustees with representatives from science, business, politics and other social groups supports private higher education.
Berlin International is a member of the Association of Private Universities in Germany. The VPH is committed to represent the interests of private higher education institutions in Germany with the goal to ensure a pluralistic university system for the benefit of students and society.
