sooii&pure is a 3D rendering firm specialized in realistic images for cross-media communication. I equip 3D scenes with interior assets such as furniture and textures. I wouldn‘t say my job is typical for a graduate in Interior Design, however, my interior design background is very profitable to my current job.
If I am not enrolled in any particular client projects, I gather inspiration on interior design trends and restock our virtual 3D library with new assets to use in upcoming projects.
Only a few weeks into my new position as a Junior 3d Artist I was given the task to equip eleven buildings with individual furnishing. I quickly realized that I was not going to meet the deadline! I put in many extra hours on my own expense. I didn’t mind working late because the task was fun and I wanted to prove that I could manage the task.
Starting my studies, I had quite some trouble meeting project deadlines as I often ran out of time. I learnt to manage my time and start a project as soon as possible getting the important tasks done and focusing on the details if there was spare time. I apply this method to all of my current tasks and projects.
For the future, sooii&pure and my father‘s construction firm, Dressler&Partner Mallorca are planning on working on a project together. I will be positioned as a mediator between the two firms.
My journey has taught me to look for career choices outside of the ordinary path of an interior designer. An interior design degree can be useful in many careers.
